David Mark asks Senators to fast and pray for Super Eagles game tomorrow against Cote d'Ivoire

President of Nigeria’s Senate, David Mark, has called on senators to stay away from food and seek the face of God, so the Super Eagles will emerge victorious against the Elephants.
Nigeria faces Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday in the last eight of the Africa Cup of Nations, with the Ivorians strong favourites to make it to the semi-finals of the competition.
“Individually, you can fast if you think it will make them to win,” Mark said.
He noted that national pride was at stake and so the Eagles cannot afford to flop. Mark relayed his message to the team via the Deputy Leader of the Senate, who acts as the contact person between the Senate and the Eagles.
“We will pray as hard as we can but they must play as hard as they can because our prayers alone cannot score goals,” Mark said.
