Au revoir Wenger?
Arsene Wenger looks to be ending a 17-year spell in charge of Arsenal and returning to France to manage French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG’s Qatari owners are confident they can prise Wenger away from the Emirates to replace Carlo Ancelotti who is expected to leave at the end of the season, with his probable destination Real Madrid.
Wenger only has one year left on his contract, so at the very worst the French champions expect him to take over in 2014.
The French side have spent big in recent years on players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Pastore and Ezequiel Lavezzi, plus, of course, acquiring the services of David Beckham.
Since Wenger took over in 1996 the Gunners have won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and four Community Shields, but significantly no trophies in the last eight years.
However, Stan Kroenke is believed to be loosening purse strings this summer in order to tempt Wenger to stay at the helm in north London.
