Between the Weave and the Natural look.

Does natural hair make a black woman a complete African lady? And does it affect a woman's confidence?

While talking about her new novel Americanah, with Kate Kellaway of The Observer, award winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie said black women should embrace their natural hair. When asked to give an honest description of her hair and what it says about her, Chimamanda replied:

That is the best question! My hair is in tiny cornrows; I have a big ponytail on the top of my head. I quite like it. It is natural. I am a bit of a fundamentalist when it comes to black women's hair. Hair is hair – yet also about larger questions: self-acceptance, insecurity and what the world tells you is beautiful. For many black women, the idea of wearing their hair naturally is unbearable.

I once craved locking my natural to have dreadlocks, so I tried to go back to having my hair kinky, let's just say I only lasted a few months before rushing back to my weaves!

But these women make it look so tempting#reconsidering :-)

Ladies can you rock your natural ''locks''?I dont think it's as easy as it looks though.
Let's face it the weave can help a lady pull off the glam or come-hither look than the weave, methinks.
Guys do you prefer the natural look or the sophisticated weaves?

  1. I prefer a well trimmed natural hair anytime of the day to those crazy weavons and attachments that atimes make the ladies look gory.

  2. It depends on the choice of the person wearing it.....or in most cases, the spouse based on the kind of effect that they may want to create...
