New Aston Villa signing Jores Okore admits falling asleep during his medical examination ahead of his move to the Premier League.
New Aston Villa signing Jores Okore took the saying “a dream come true” all too literally by falling asleep during his medical!
Danish defender Okore, who was previously a target for Chelsea, completed his £4 million move from FC Nordsjaelland despite nodding off whilst undergoing a routine check.
He recalled how his MRI scan lasted a bit longer than expected: “I am placed in the scanner and start a two hour session. I have to remain completely quiet. I am listening to some radio while I keep wondering how it all will be like.
“How will my new life in Birmingham be? Am I going to speak English with a British twang. I doze off after half an hour and wake up an hour later.”
The Denmark international did still pass the examination and will line-up for Villa next season. Lets hope he doesn't sleep off during a game.
