Is Reincarnation real? My nephew is bugging me for an answer to this question for a school project and I had no choice than to bring it here. It's strongly interwoven with our rich African culture but I wonder if it's real or just an old wives tale? Am sure most people grew up with stories about people being ''reborn'' or coming back a second time, the ''ogbanje'' myth is a typical one or when a child has a striking resemblance to a late relative, then the dead person is said to have been reborn.
So is it fact or fiction?
Fiction. People who couldn't explain certain events in the olden days came up with this theory to justify some of their evil deeds like the 'ogbanje' murders.
