''Tinsel'' Suffers another setback.

Popular M-Net-produced series Tinsel has suffered a setback as one of her main actors Chris Attoh who plays ‘Kwame Mensah’ suddenly announced he is leaving the series to pursue other career interests, via a statement through a South Africa based management, Waka Talent. ‘The last seven years on Tinsel have been an incredible journey and experience for me. Working with M-Net was phenomenal and it took a lot of deliberation but I have decided to pursue other career interests‘, he said.

Chris leaves almost a year after another strong face on the show Damilola Adegbite who played Telema Duke announced she too was leaving to pursue other career interests.

Meanwhile, another popular face at Tinsel Gbenro Ajibade has been reportedly suspended from the show. Information made available point that Ajibade may have been suspended because he failed to show up for long sequence of shoots involving his character ‘Soji Bankole.’

If this suspension is true then Gbenro may be facing disciplinary action for being away from set after traveling to the US for the just concluded one week long Africa Fashion show held in New York where he pranced the runway as a model.

There are already concerns the loss of these two actors plus other popular faces that has left the series may further affect ratings.

Or has he also moved on to other things too?

  1. Tinsel has lost direction. No one including the directors and producers knows whether they are going in one direction or another. They should kukuma shut down the programme biko.
