Want A Happy Wife? Do This.

The couple that cleans together, stays together.Tag-teaming housework instead of breaking up chores can make her happier, says a recent study of newlyweds from Brigham Young University.
What gives? Call it the happy wife, happy life effect. Ladies see family work like doing laundry or driving the kids to school differently than you do, says study researcher Erin Holmes, Ph.D., an assistant professor at BYU. While you might think chores are another mundane task that needs to get done, she sees them as a necessity for the people she loves.
Try it out: Instead of dividing and conquering clean-up after throwing a big dinner party, make your way through each task together. When you’re on her page—spending time together doing the work—it shows her you care about her, Holmes says. That adds to recent research in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships that names ”shared tasks” one of the five most important strategies in maintaining healthy relationships.
And guess what? Chipping in on chores could lead to more sex. In a Montclair State University study of nearly 7,000 married couples, sexual frequency increased 0.06 percent a year for every 1 percent increase in weekly housework that husbands handled.
