Reports say that the Imo State House of Assembly, last Tuesday, honoured the winner of the Miss Nigeria 2013, Miss Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha for emerging the winner of the beauty pageant.
Ezinne was invited into the Chambers during their session to receive the recognition and honour.

The house described her achievement as one worthy of recognition and celebration, adding that her effort has not only projected a good image of the Imo woman but has also brought her international recognition.
So, a motion was moved for her to become the face of the state.
Rt Hon. Ben Uwajumogu,the speaker of Imo state added that a road be named after her so that it will always be in history that one of their own won the prestigious Miss Nigeria crown as this will serve as an inspiration to other younger girls in the state as well as the unborn.

The House members, however, noted that, this appreciation was necessary to further portray that they are not only interested in politics but they still care about other things in the state such as beauty and brains.
They wished her a very successful reign and prayed that her reign rubs off positively on the people of Imo.

Alongside the adopted motion for her to be the face of Imo and naming a popular road in Owerri after her, was a cash gift of N500,000.
I guess their move was inspired by Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo state who lavishly hosted Dillish the winner of Big Brother Africa.
He should build a new road and name after her, not rename already existing one

I tot this article is for Akudo? How Rita mata come join this topic. Congrats to the new Ms Nigeria. She is matured enough to make her decisions good or bad. She shld use her office and title to make an impact even if its as little as her community/village it will go a long way.
