Secret to effective & healthy weight loss? Do it the Atkins way.

Let's be honest, Kim is looking good and the reality star couldn't resist sharing her big weight loss secret. She recently revealed on Twitter that she's currently on the Atkins diet ,her old school diet plan which was designed in the 1950s and is high in protein, low in carbs.
'I've actually been doing the Atkins diet & luv it,' she confessed.
'She is eating lots of lean proteins, healthy fats like nuts and avocado, carbs, fruits, veggies and cheese,' a rep for Atkins says.
'She wanted to be a healthy, nursing mom and not toxify her milk with her diet or lose weight too quickly. She's been doing Atkins since her doctor approved it at the end of June.'
Rihanna and Sharon Osbourne have also tried the diet.Sharon  has gone on the record saying she and Jack and Ozzy have all experienced weight loss success on the diet, and it's been linked to svelte stars like Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and Catherine Zeta-Jones over the years.
The reality star - who UsWeekly reported in August has lost 30 pounds since delivering her baby.

The protein-rich diet, which was created by Dr. Robert Atkins, eliminates carbs but encourages dieters to not concern themselves with counting calories."What distinguishes the Atkins diet is the absence of a lot of carbohydrates, so that leaves out a lot of choices. You can make bad choice and good choices, but there's nothing dangerous about the Atkins diet. There really isn't a downside to it," Nutritionist and author of The Great Cholesterol Myth, Jonny Bowden, says about the diet..   1. I lost 60 pounds and have kept it off for 5 years. You can do this too.

    I did two things:
    1. Strength training with lighter weights/higher reps.
    2. Got a good diet program from http://womens-weightloss.com.
    It taught me what and how to eat.
