Sri-Lankan couple breaks World Record by having 126 bridesmaids.

A Sri-Lankan couple, Nisansala and Nalin set a world record after the bridal train at their wedding ceremony consisted of an amazing 126 bridesmaids.
The wedding party consisted of  the bride, groom, 25 groomsmen, 126 bridesmaids, 25 groomsmen, 20 page boys and 23 flower girls and were all styled by Nisansala's sister-in-law Champi Siriwardana. Champi is one of Sri Lanka's leading wedding planners and dress designers.
The most amazing part about Nisansala and Nalin’s bridal party is that all the bridesmaids wore identical purple saris and carried bouquets of purple orchids and roses, and even had the same updo hairstyle.
See photos of the bridal party below:
, The guest of honour at the ceremony was the First Lady, Shiranthi Rajapaksa, wife of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. The ceremony was held under strict Guinness Book of World Record conditions, and the 126 bridesmaids beat out the previous record of 96 by a Thai couple.

'Breaking the Guinness world record is no mean feat and one that I cannot achieve alone,' said Champi, who suggested the world record attempt. 'It is a great responsibility and challenge. There can be no mistakes.'
