While Taylor Swift was being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest, J. Law—hoisting up her white Dior dress with one hand—stomped up the stairs behind her, almost dinosaur-like—unbeknownst to a gesticulating Taylor. Once she reached the podium, she hugged Swift and quipped, “I was going to come in and push you down the stairs.”

The subsequent back-and-forth contained more drama than most of the nominated films up for Best Drama tonight.

Jen: “I was going to come in and push you down the stairs.”

Taylor: “People would love that.”

Jen: “I was like, she'll crack up.”

Taylor: “People would think that's so funny.”

Ryan (to Jen): “Have you ever been to one of her concerts?”

Jen: “No, she's never invited me.”

Taylor (eyes wide): “I have invited you SO MANY TIMES”
Taylor (continued): “She did watch the CMAs though”

Jen (mumbling): “I'm never in town...”
