Sanusi, who spoke on CNBC Africa few hours after his suspension on Thursday, said challenging his removal in court was not to ensure that he returned to the office but to preserve the integrity and independence of the apex financial institution.
He equally dismissed the sundry allegations made against his leadership at the CBN, saying the allegations were not new.
Sanusi described his suspension as political, wondering why the Presidency had waited for this long to remove him from office.
Good luck with that Sanusi!
ReplyDeleteWhich court exactly? You want to sue the federal government in a federal government court?
ReplyDeleteNa today!
ReplyDeleteGEJ should hound him with EFCC. Sanusi should account for N10bn he gave to some schools, N100bn he gave as relief, etc. If he can spend money like that, there should be a budget and if there is, who approved it? If there isn't, then on whose authority does he assume the responsinility of other government responsibilities. His primary assignment is to chair "the banker to the last resort" of Naija. CBN is not Ford foundation that donates like that. Abeg, make dem confiscate his properties, arrange one better room for kirikiri for de guy.
ReplyDeleteThat CBN is independent does not mean go crazy!!!!!!
