So Glamour are the envy of all other glossy magazines for getting stunning Lupita Nyong'o to share her beauty secrets with them in their 75th edition, out March.
And guess what? The 30-year-old's rules are simple, inspiring and stylish.
Lupita revealed to the magazine that when it comes to her skin: 'I love using natural oils. I use avocado oil and Hawaiian kukui oil on my face. I like to keep things natural, simple, and straightforward. '
She added of her red carpet look: 'I love color. I’m enjoying trying all different shades. Makeup isn’t something I’ve worn a lot of in my life. So it’s good to work with someone like [makeup artist] Nick Barose, who is inspired by my complexion and knows how to work with it.'
She also opened up about attending an all-boys school, explaining: 'They had these archaic rules: For example, girls couldn’t wear makeup.
'I found it so outrageous that an all-boys school could tell girls to not wear makeup! So I went on a campaign. I got a petition signed and everything.
'If a girl wants to wear makeup to boost confidence, why not? [But] I’ve worked hard to feel beautiful in my natural skin. Personally, I don’t ever want to depend on makeup to feel beautiful.'
Lupita has admitted she was overcome with emotion when she learned she had been nominated for an best supporting actress Oscar.
She said: 'I had a very good cry with my best friend, and then we had a dance party, just me and him.'
The down-to-earth actress admits she is struggling to come to terms with her newfound fame, which hit home after her first encounter with the paparazzi.
