Dr. Dre tips waitress $5,000

A decent tipper: Dr. Dre, pictured here at Club 79 in Paris, France in February, is said to have dropped $5,000 on a waitress at West Hollywood hotspot Skybar
Apple just paid him $3 billion to acquire his company, Beats By Dre.

So it was hardly a far stretch for Dr. Dre to tip his waitress $5,000 after a night out in Los Angeles.
The generous 49-year-old music mogul pulled off the good deed whilst partying at West Hollywood's Skybar inside the Mondrian Hotel, according to RadarOnline.

According to the website's source, the recipient of the hefty tip was 'stunned'.
It was a mid-week night out for the iconic hip hop star, who is said to have wound things up at around 2am - at which point he dropped his extra monetary thanks.
The Beats By Dre businessman reportedly began his evening at the luxurious Full Moon Bazaar inside the establishment, which is a night market showcasing upmarket brands.
According to RadarOnline, Dr. Dre scooped up an expensive bracelet for his wife of 18 years, Nicole Threatt, made by Mac & Lou.
After the light shopping spree, the rapper is said to have headed to the lavish poolside bar - Skybar - where he 'took shots of tequila'.

He took photos with fans and spoke with the DJ of the night, Sanni Val Fleury.
And he was clearly happy with his night, as reflected by the four-figure tip he left his waitress.
It wouldn't have made so much of a dent in the star's bank account, however, as he recently sold his headphone company Beats By Dre to Apple for $3 billion.
The company was founded by Dr. Dre in 2008, and the line of branded gear quickly moved to dominate the luxury headphone market.
Taking his winnings into the real estate market, the Let Me Ride singer picked up Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's old pad for a breezy $40 million.
Earlier this month, he went on to sell his own Hollywood Hills mansion for $35 million.
