Solange Knowles Now Engaged To Her 51-Year-Old Boyfriend?

Idyllic: Solange Knoles shared this picture of herself embracing boyfriend Alan Ferguson on her birthday after it was claimed the pair have gotten engaged
Solange Knowles celebrated her 28th birthday on Tuesday with her boyfriend of five years.
And if a new report from MediaTakeOut is to be believed, it was a double celebration as the publication claims 51-year-old video producer Alan Ferguson proposed to her on Monday.
While Solange has not yet commented on the report, she did take to Instagram to share a sweet snap of them cuddling in the water on a tropical beach while she grinned delightedly at the camera.
MailOnline has contacted Solange's representatives for comment.

And while she may have been simply referring to her birthday celebrations, there was no doubt Solange was in a great mood.
She wrote: 'Today couldn't have been more perfect. I couldn't have smiled harder. Thank you for all of your lovely and wonderful wishes. They warmed my heart and I simply feel grateful for all of the love.'
If Solange is indeed engaged this will be the second marriage for Beyonce’s little sister.

She was previously married to Daniel Smith, her high school sweetheart and the father of her son Daniel Julez, from 2004 to 2007.
The pair wed in the Bahamas in February 2004, when Solange was just 17 and pregnant with their son.
Despite their split, Solange has nothing but praise for her ex.
'We co-parent really well,' she said. 'I'm able to say, "I need to finish this album, can you step up and take care of the boy?"'
And in the same interview with Harpers Bazaar, she opened up about her stable relationship with Alan but wryly admitted her happiness makes songwriting more difficult.

Time to celebrate? It has been claimed that Solange is engaged to Alan Ferguson, her boyfriend of five years

Solange said: 'Luckily, I dated all of the losers ages ago. My love life has been stable for a while. It's a f****d-up thing - without conflict it's a lot harder to write interesting songs.'
And it doesn't appear as if the age difference is an issue.
Solange said: 'Everyone talks about how, in your 30s, all of these growing pains transition into wisdom and you feel more self-assured and confident, but I think I had a bit of a jump-start on that at 27.
'For the first time in my life, I'm basing every decision around the idea of whether I want to do it or if I think it will be inspiring. And that's paid off for me.'
