The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has suspended its over two-month old strike.
Its President, Kayode Obembe, who disclosed the development to newsmen, said the association’s delegates resolved to suspend the industrial action in the interest of the ongoing public health issues in the country.
Mr. Obembe said the delegates also resolved among others that the Federal Government recall all suspended resident doctors without. He therefore directed all Nigerian doctors to report to work on Monday.
The Doctors had been sharply divided over whether or not to suspend the strike in the face of outbreak of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.
