Hey  do you know that Jonathan has only effectively had 9 months of actual power due to anti- party activities perpetuated by Amaechi and his ilk while they were in PDP.   When late Yaradua died there was a vacuum and power was usurped by Amaechi group. In fact Bukki was planning to be President. All the 6 pillars of power were being usurped by them (executive, PDP, NGF, HR, Senate and CBN). Once Jonathan became President he only acquired control of the executive and used it to acquire control of the rest. How? He used Diezani to lock down the oil and gas industry so that the other 5 areas would be starved of funds and frustrate the evil machinations of his detractors. He used Bamanga Tukur to throw them out of PDP. Used Gov of Plateau and Akpabio and Jang to neutralize them at NGF. Prevented an APC coup last January in the house of reps. Cemented his relationship with David Mark in the senate against APC. Outmaneuvered Sanusi in CBN only last April, who had clearly been funding the opposition and surreptitiously politicking against Jonathan. It was at this juncture Jonathan seized full control and could now express himself presidentially.

Inspite of this the economy grew rapidly at 6.2% last year, and through no fault of Jonathan's and as a consequence of the global macroeconomic dark clouds which emerged in 2014 and was warned by Legarde, we are budgeted to grow at 5.5% in 2015.

No doubt there are fallouts for a rapidly growing economy. In this case corruption, insecurity and non-inclusivity. Many people get left behind and become restive and others prosper. True Jonathan may not have managed this fall-out as well as he could have. This is why I believe he should be given a second term in office to consolidate on his gains and improve on managing these fallouts.
