The most unforgetable moment at the Oscars: Everybody wept..

The high point of the Oscars for me was when Common and John Legend gave a rendition of the song 'Glory'' which won best original song for Selma,it was their first Oscar nomination and their first win!
There was not a dry eye during John Legend and Common's Glory performance at the Oscars on Sunday night.

Shortly before nabbing the win for best original song, the 36-year-old singer and 42-year-old rapper gave a moving concert during the 87th annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The award-winning duo left A-list celebs Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Jessica Chastain and Chris Pine with tears running down their famous faces while the star-studded audience gave the performers a standing ovation.

John - real name John Stephens - and Common - real name Lonnie Lynn - recreated a scene from the Oscar nominated film Selma with the Edmund Pettus Bridge as their backdrop.

John opened the performance by belting out the beginning of the song on the piano as Common, who also appears in the film, appeared marching forward with microphone in hand.

The tears started flowing from people's faces when a large group of African-American background actors emerged walking across the stage similar to the 600 people who trekked from Selma to Montgomery nearly 50 years ago in 1965 as a part of the 1960s American Civil Rights Movement.

Selma stars Winfrey and Oyelowo couldn't hold back the water works as Oprah generously wiped away David's tears.

Sitting behind the British actor was Harry Belafonte, who actually marched on the Edmund Pettus Bridge 50 years ago.

Carmen Ejogo and the film's director Ava DuVernay also had emotional reactions to the performance as cameras panned to Jessica Chastain and Chris Pine who were noticeably weeping

If the performance wasn't amazing enough, John and Common gave memorable acceptance speeches.

The pair took the time on stage to address the real issues of race still lingering in the US.

'Selma is now because the struggle for justice is right now,' said John.

'This bridge was built on hope,' added Common.

It was a glorious moment!
