Namadi Sambo wins own polling unit while GEJ loses to GMB in Aso Rock

Vice President Namadi Sambo won his polling unit for the Peoples Democratic Party, in Saturday’ presidential and National Assembly elections, after serial losses to the opposition in the previous elections.
Mr. Sambo voted at polling unit 11, Police College, Kabala Doki, Ward 5 in Kaduna North Local Government Area.
The Returning Officer, Olorufemi Raphael, while announcing the result at the end of voting, said PDP polled 105 votes, APC 20 votes, NCP 01, while APA got 01.
Mr. Sambo had been taunted in the past, and dismissed as a political lightweight who could not win election in his own ward.
In the 2011 general elections, Mr. Sambo was trounced in his polling unit, ward and local government.
The Vice President had earlier, on the eve of the Saturday’s election, relocated his polling unit from Link/Camp Road to swimming pool road by the Kaduna Police College fence.
Mr. Sambo’s ward and LGA are still being collated.

According to Punch, President Jonathan lost to Buhari in the election conducted inside Aso Rock as follows:

Polling Unit 22: PDP 302, APC 348.
Polling Unit 21: PDP 293, APC 265.
Total: PDP 595, APC 613.
