MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, owners of DSTV announced a 20% price increase for all its satellite pay TV bouquets subscription fees in Nigeria last month. They claimed the increase, effective from 1st April 2015, was to enable them to continue offering good quality services to its subscribers.
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has restrained the company from increasing the tariffs following a class action suit filed by two Lagos-based lawyers, Osasuyi Adebayo and Oluyinka Oyeniji, challenging the increase.
The judge said the subscription fees should not be increased until the court hears the case on 16th April.
They had better stop them permanently. I guess the new govt shall see to this excesses.
ReplyDeleteI hope they stop them from this continuous exploitation.
