Chimamanda Adichie's dad,Prof Adichie,released by kidnappers



Chimamanda Adichie's dad,Professor James  Adichie, was abducted with his driver on Saturday 3rd May 2015,while travelling from Nsukka to his hometown Abba, in Anambra state at about 10 am by kidnappers. 

The kidnappers demanded for N50million Naira ransom.However,they later accepted a lower pay-off for his release.
Professor Adichie was released at about 8pm last night.He served as a Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) before he retired.

The family has not released any statement about the incident.

    Na wah o! Poor man. Thank God he has been released. Is it now a crime to have a famous child and still want to live a modest life!

      I can't understand! So parents and families of "okay" ppl should go into hide out or stop existing?? Or its now a curse to be "okay"??! God have mercy on us in Nigeria!
