The newest royal has officially made her debut in the arms of Princess Kate. Standing proudly on the steps of St. Mary's Hospital, Princess Kate and Prince William introduced their baby girl, born May 2, to the world.Wrapped in a white blanket and an ivory bonnet, the princess sweetly nestled in her mother's arms. She blissfully slept through her big debut.
The newest
Royal, whose name is yet to be announced, was born at 8.34am today
weighing 8lbs and 3oz - less than three hours after the Duchess was
admitted to hospital.
Kate
looked remarkably fresh in a yellow floral Jenny Packham dress, with
her hair and make-up freshly done, as the pair stood for a few minutes
proudly showing off their second child and waving for the cameras.
Prince
George was taken to the Lindo Wing to meet his newborn sister earlier
today where he offered a timid wave to the gathered crowds from the
hospital steps.
The 21-month-old was driven from the family home at Kensington Palace to St Mary's Hospital by his father, Prince William.
His
ensemble - a blue jumper with a white collared shirt underneath -
matched William's outfit, but George also wore blue shorts, blue pulled
up socks and black shoes.
The blonde-haired toddler stayed for about an hour before he was taken back home for a bath and tea with his nanny.
It
is the first time George has been officially seen in public in the UK
since he left the same hospital himself as a newborn just under two
years ago.
Both
mother and her newborn daughter, who will be known as Her Royal
Highness Princess of Cambridge, were said to have been 'doing well' when
the news came shortly after 11am today.
Beautiful kids. The Cambridge royals are special.
