Woman only realised she was eight months pregnant when her boyfriend felt the baby kick

A woman discovered she is just weeks away from giving birth when her boyfriend put his hand on her stomach and felt the baby kick.
Abby Wake and Jarryd Gorman are now hurriedly preparing for their first baby.
Despite being eight months pregnant, Miss Wake said she had no symptoms apart from a little weight gain and bloating.
Miss Wake, who is lactose intolerant, thought the gurgles and movement inside her was gas or a reaction to something she had eaten.

It was only when her Mr Gorman put his hand on her stomach at a concert last week and felt a kick did the Californian couple realise they were expecting a baby.
Mr Gorman told CBS Los Angeles: "I felt the baby kick and I looked at her and said, 'I think you’re definitely pregnant. We need to go see someone straight away.'"

They visited a doctor who informed them they were just weeks away from having their first child.
Miss Wake said: "The doctor was just like, '32 weeks.'
"He was just doing the measurements. And we were like, 'I’m sorry?'"

 

Dr Payman Joseph was not as surprised as the couple and told them it was more common than most people would expect.
He said: "She’s very thin compared to a lot of the other women that I’ve seen this in."
The couple plan to call their baby boy Isaiah and have started a Go Fund Me page to try and gather enough money to get a nursery ready for the imminent birth.
