14-year-old African American boy invents new surgical procedure that astonishes doctors

Tony Hansberry II

Tony Hansberry II is only 14 and is quite the surgeon already. The teen-aged surgical researcher has single-handedly developed a surgical procedure that may save the lives of millions of women who undergo hysterectomy surgery.
Tony is a hospital intern as well as a student at the Darnell-Cookman Middle/HighSchool. The preparatory facility is a magnet school with curriculums that are all focused on the professional medical field of practice. At this school students  will learn and become masterfully proficient at suturing alone by the eighth grade.
Angela TenBroeck of Darnell-Cookman Middle/HighSchool indicates that Tony and his genius is represented all throughout their student body student body. She says of Tony Hansberry II, “I would put him up against a first-year med student. He’s an outstanding young man, and I’m proud to have him representing us.”
Similarly Tony has wowed his obstetrics and gynecology professor with his innovative approaches to surgery during their highly technical surgery simulations.
They said that Tony’s techniques may be taught to veteran surgeons to help reduce complications caused by the invasive hysterectomy surgical techniques that are in practice today.
We wish 14-year-old surgeon “Dr.” Tony Hansberry II all of the luck in the world. But it sounds like he has something  better than luck. He’s got serious “skills.”
