Creepiest thing you've EVER seen? Meet the £6,500 sex robots that talk back

Sex dolls without a head and two robot head in a box
Intelligent sexbots that can entertain their owners with witty conversation before getting down to some man-on-machine action are set to go on sale in 2017.
With freakishly realistic facial features and made-to-measure bodies, the RealDolls are the stuff of science fiction.
And the sex doll company just launched a prototype of the first artificially intelligent ‘sex robot’.
The life-sized robot girlfriends come with language capabilities, an articulated skeleton and flesh-like synthetic skin.

Dr. Henrik Christensen, the chairman of the European Robotics Network at the Royal Institute of Technology, at the University of Stockholm, predicted that “in the next five years” humans would be having sex with robots.
And his predictions seem to be spot on, as inventor Matt McMullen believes the talking heads will go on sale within two years, priced at £6,500 each.
The speaking heads, which can converse with their owners, attach to the top of standard rubber sex dolls.
This means owners can swap-up their sexbot girlfriends when they get bored of them.
In this week’s demonstration, McMullen asks an on-screen sexbot, "What do you dream about?"
She replies by saying: "I have a lot of dreams. I dream about becoming a real person, about having a real body.
"I dream about knowing the meaning of love. I hope to become the world’s first sex robot."

The unnervingly human-like creations can be designed to look like anyone the owner wants.
But Dr. Christensen thinks people will be happy with any form of sexbot to begin with.
“People are willing to have sex with inflatable dolls, so initially anything that moves will be an improvement," he told The Economist.
But would YOU feel comfortable having sex with a machine?
Back in December, New York fashion photographer Stacy Leigh brought sex dolls to life in her new racy photo shoot.
Posed in provocative underwear the normally vacant-looking plastic dolls appeared freakishly human as they pout into the camera.
The dolls, which come complete with freckles, eyelashes and perfectly manicured nails, even look like real woman in the close-up portrait shots.
Stacy, 43, decided to create her project, which she calls 'Average Americans' to prove how anyone could find themselves fancying mannequin-like dolls, taking the stigma away from those who use them.
"Men and women both use the dolls as replacements for human companionship, whether by choice or necessity," She said.
"I believe it's perfectly fine if it makes one's journey through life more bearable."
