Robert Downey Jr. is the highest-paid actor of the year, according to Forbes, raking in a cool $80 million. He's now held the title for three years in a row, thanks to his heroic role as Iron Man in the Marvel universe. The Oscar nominee starred in this year's mega-successful Avengers: Age of Ultron, which grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide.
Downey Jr. has also played billionaire superhero Tony Stark in three highly successful standalone Iron Man films, as well as the 2012 Avengers film. The third Iron Man film and the first Avengers both grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
