Following the voluntary retirement of five Deputy
Comptroller-Generals of the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, and 35 other
officers last week, there are indications that another 400 officers will soon
leave the service for various reasons ranging from corruption, insubordination,
indiscipline to absenteeism.
Also, some of the officers pencilled down for next round of
retirement were said to have flouted re-deployment directives as well as
influenced their promotion even when they were not due to be promoted.

Customs service us really corrupt. He may as well sack the whole staff and dp the work by himself cos there is nobody that isn't corrupt un naija it's just different degrees or levels of corruption for different people. Dunno who he will employ that isn't corrupt
ReplyDeleteTrue! If he sacks them whi does he replace them with?
DeleteThat's not enough reason not to sack. Just because you are corrupt doesn't mean all nigerians are corrupt. This is the mediocre that has kept us back. If their replacements happen to be corrupt they will also be sacked until people learn.
