A mum's hilarious illustrations about pregnancy & motherhood will crack you up

Ah, the joys of motherhood.
Bringing a new life into the world is a beautiful thing. But let’s be real, the whole process of having a baby can be a bit less glamorous.
Illustrator and blogger Line Severinsen lives in Bergen, Norway and first started drawing her hilariously honest pregnancy cartoons when she was pregnant with her first child in 2012. Line, who is expecting her third child in March 2016, is well acquainted with the many awkward hormonal disasters which come with pregnancy. Inspired by her desire to counter the ‘beautifully glowing’ social expectation of pregnancy and the way celebrities lose their baby weight almost immediately after giving birth – she began posting her illustrations on her Instagram page and blog, Kos & Kaos.
Since then, Severinsen created all sorts of spot-on pictures perfectly capturing all the unique struggles you can expect when expecting, and all of her impressive drawings are guaranteed to make you laugh.
She told Huffington Post,
I thought to myself that there is no way that no other people felt and looked like I did. So I wanted to create a counterpoint to help people like me to understand that they weren’t alone and that it is OK to feel and act less than perfect sometimes.

Inspired by mom-to-be issues like the difficulty of shaving, swollenness, sex during pregnancy and taking the perfect after birth selfie – Line pulls no punches. “It’s really rewarding to see that my drawings and experiences are resonating well with so many people ,” explains the blogger who plans to turn her illustrations into a book.
Take a look at the pictures below to see her comical illustrations.
