Public holidays: 24, 25 & 28 December.




The Federal Government has declared December 24, 25 and 28 public holidays to mark Maulud Nabiy, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, respectively, Guardian reports.
Minister of the Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, confirmed the news.

This is to celebrate Maulud Nabiy(Prophet Mohammed's birthday), Christmas day & Boxing day.
The declaration was made in a statement by the Minister of the Interior, Rtd Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau. It reads "The Federal Government has declared Thursday, 24th December 2015 as public holiday to mark Eid-E-Maulud celebration. "Friday, 25th and Monday 28th December 2015 have also been declared as public holidays to mark Christmas and Boxing Day celebration."

  3. U guys are missing a valid point here - since when in the history of Nigeria did we celebrate the birth of Mohammed? And how come there is no single decoration by the FG in the FCT
