Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson mocks the AMVCA

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson is noticeably missing from the red carpet of the 2016 AMVCAs and so are a number of her recent movies from the nominee list including “If Tomorrow Never Comes”.

The nominees for the AMVCAs this year were released based on submission from the actors, actresses, directors and cast of nominated movies as it was strictly a viewer’s choice scenario this year.

Last night, while other celebrities were having a good time at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards red carpet, Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson took to Twitter to mock the various movie awards programmes in the continent.

She took to Twitter to share her thoughts a few hours after the AMVCAs started airing.

“Most awards in Africa. #whotheycoolwithawards,” she tweeted, adding a laughing emoji. And in another tweet, she completed her statement, “Or peeps they’ll need favors from.”

A movie she featured in ''The Refugees'' won an award for Best Director in a movie/tv series
