Oscar Pistorious Granted Bail

The Blade Runner was granted bail today by the Chief Magistrate,Desmond Nair.Bail was set at 1 million rand (£73,823) as the bail fee. 

As part of the Bail conditions  He is expected to must his passport, stay at an undisclosed location and report to the police station every Monday and Friday on condition of bail.

He  is charged with one count of premeditated murder over the Valentine Day killing of his model girlfriend.Pistorious says it was a tragic accident,he thought he was shooting an intruder and not his girlfriend.

The Chief Investigator,Hilton Botha, involved in  the case is said to have bungled and contaminated the crime scene as well as his report regarding drugs found in Pistorious's on the day of the killing as well his conflicting and confusing reports  during cross-examination.He is also facing murder charges.Botha and two other police officers are said to have fired shots at a minibus carrying seven people in October 2011. He is due to appear in court himself in May.

The next court hearing is set for June 4.
