The secret of wedded bliss? Dredging up old arguments
Dredging up arguments and in forensic detail three times a year can help couples achieve marital bliss, a study found.
What makes a difference is trying to take a benevolent outsider's view of the situation.
Couples asked to fill out a seven-minute appraisal online were able to offset the decline in marital satisfaction that affects the average couple over time, the researchers claimed.
"I don't want it to sound like magic, but you can get pretty impressive results with minimal intervention," said Eli Finkel, professor of psychology.
I wonder how this really works.
