VALENTINE TRAGEDY: Blade Runner Oscar Pistorius is arrested by police for shooting dead his Girlfriend

Oscar Pistorius , who rose to fame as the first Paralympian to compete in the Olympics, was arrested this morning for shooting his girlfriend dead at his home in Pretoria, South Africa. He is said to have shot her by accident after mistaking her for a burglar. He lives in a gated upscale community.

There is some speculation that she  was at a party last night to promote a car launch and had planned a valentine surprise  that backfired and led to her tragic death.Pistorius shot her with a 9mm pistol.
The 26 year old is a huge star,a hero and role model in South Africa and made history in London Olympics as a double amputee. 
The 30-year-old victim is believed to be FHM model Reeva Steenkamp, pictured right with Pistorius at an awards ceremony last year. The sprinter is expected to appear in court later today.

Is this a tragic accident or murder?Some domestic incidence had occurred in his residence in the past.
What would prompt such a violent reaction from a man who is described as very ''giving'' ''kind' and ''caring''.
