Lionel Messi's Left Foot Crafted in Gold

He’s got the golden boot and the golden ball, now Lionel Messi has another hat-trick to his name after becoming the man with the golden foot.

The Barcelona superstar has had his famous left hoof cast in solid gold – yours to own for a cool £3.5m, which would probably buy you a toenail from the real thing.
The statue is being displayed by Japanese jeweller Ginza Tanaka, with part of the proceeds from the sale going to the Leo Messi Foundation, which will be passed on to charities supporting children affected by Japan’s tsunami and earthquake disasters of 2011.
Fifty golden foot plates priced at £62,700 a pop and 100 ‘golden foot minis’ – a snip at £27,850 - have also been cast.
