Pope Francis still rides the bus and shuns Popemobile  - and almost takes a tumble at mass!

Pope Francis stumbles as he prepares to greet cardinals in Sala Clementina at the Vatican
The new Pope bagged an aisle seat for the short journey from the Sistine Chapel to the Vatican with the Cardinals, saying: “I’ll just go with the guys on the bus.” He shunned his security staff and popemobile. He took the name after Francis-signifies humility, simplicity and poverty.
He also joined his fellow clergymen on a minibus to his first mass as Pope. The new Pope also insisted on settling his own bill at the clerics’ hotel, the Domus Internationalis Paulus VI, where he had been staying.
A Vatican spokesman said: “He wanted to get his luggage and the bags. He had left everything there.
“He then stopped in the office, greeted everyone and decided to pay the bill for the room.
“He was concerned about giving a good example of what priests and bishops should do.”
And yesterday, the new pontiff almost came a cropper when he got his foot caught in his cassock at the papal audience - but recovered with some nifty footwork.
