The 76 year old Cardinal from Argentina has chose the papal name of Pope Francis I.The Jesuit intellectual is renowned for his simplicity and great humility,examples abound of his humility and desire to give up the perks of office while he was a Cardinal-opting to commute by bus rather in his limousine,makes his own meals,giving up his home for a more simplistic lifestyle,persuading his country men who wished to fly to Rome to celebrate with him when he was appointed a Cardinal in 2001 by Pope John Paul II, to give the money for their plane tickets to the poor,washing the feet of 12 AIDS patients.
