Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on Saturday made a case for drug test for all those seeking elective political office in the country.
The CBN Governor canvassed the view at the Kano State Government House during the flag-off of a three-day Anti-Substance Abuse Awareness Campaign and Train the Trainers Workshop.
According to him “anyone who wants to contest for political office or seeking political appointment should be asked to go for drug test, because if you are on drug you will not have the opportunity to be appointed to any position of authority in this country”.
All well and good, but what happens if they start using drugs after they have been elected into office?
