Young Mariachi Singer Sebastien De La Cruz Goes Viral After Racist Bashing!

After all the racist bashings Sebastien De La Cruz proves to show my saying “after the storm passes life is amazing!”
And that’s exactly what’s happening to the 11-year-old Mexican-American singer who’s been non-stop trending since his racist bashings surfaced after performing the national anthem during the NBA finals game in San Antonio, TX.
His story has been covered by major news sources worldwide, and Sebastien has become an instant sensation. During a recent interview the young boy said “With the racism remarks, to be honest, it’s just the people how they were raised. My father and my mother told me that you should never judge people by how they look. You should judge them on the inside. And the saying that I go by is never judge a book by its cover.”
On twitter Sebastien posted “Please do not pay attention to the negative people. I am an American living the American Dream. This is part of the American life.”
Latino civil right’s organizations around the country were not going to tolerate the ignorance and have gone to Congress to address the violence, and discrimination that many Latinos across the U.S. face due to ignorance and racial hatred.
Jaime Martinez founder and chairman of César E. Chávez Foundation told the Houston Chronicle “It shows we still have a long way to go. There’s still a lot of bigotry in this country.”
Regardless of everything Sebastien’s star will continue to rize as the 11-year-old is being praised for handling the ordeal with class and maturity. In his interview with FOX San Antonio he said “They don’t know my life…My father was actually in the navy for a pretty long time, and I actually salute him today for that. I just wanna thank him and to be able to sing the national anthem. People don’t know, they just assume that I’m just Mexican. But I’m not from Mexico, I’m from San Antonio, born and raised. True San Antonio Spurs fan.”

  1. It is shameful that racists still dwell on human differences instead of the similarities when they view the people of the world.
