MASSOB Orders A Sit At Home In The South Eastern States Of Nigeria

Police warn MASSOB as fear grips S’East residents over sit-at-home order



The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) ordered a sit at home today Saturday 8th June 2013 to the people of the South East geo-political zone. This directive came on the heels of an order given by the Director of information, MASSOB, Uchenna Madu, urging Ndigbo in the South East to sit at home on June 8, in protest against the killings of Igbos in the northern part of the country and the Apo 6 killed in Abuja some years ago.

In Onitsha, the main market and most of the other markets are closed and the streets are quiet. There are few vehicles on the road in Awka the capital of Anambra state and neighbouring towns of Agulu ,Amawbia and Ekwuluobia. 
In Enugu,The capital of Enugu state, a lot of people are indoors and there are a handful of vehicles on the road.
Reports from Aba say that markets are closed and  most people are staying indoors.
The Abia state Government has advised its citizens to ignore the sit-at-home order and urged them to go about their normal lawful duties.

  2. The Federal Government of Nigeria gets so jittery whenever MASSOB wants to do anything. They are quick to send truck loads of army and other security personel. If na OPC or MEND now,they no go make any noise.
