Inspector General Of Police Mohammed Marries Zarha Bunu

Many dignitaries, including Vice-President Namadi Sambo, Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, multi-billionaire industrialist, Aliko Dangote, and state governors, on Thursday, attended the wedding  of the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, and Zarha Bunu in Abuja.
The wedding (fatiha) at the National Mosque, Abuja was conducted by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Ustaz  Mohammed.
Mohammed Abubakar lost his wife, Maryam in January, 2012 shortly after he was appointed as acting IG.
Also at the wedding were two former Heads of State, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, Minister of the FCT, Bala Mohammed and members of the National Assembly.
The reception at the ThisDay Dome was attended by some state Governors; Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, Idris Wada of Kogi State, Acting Governor of Taraba, Alhaji Garba Umar. Also in attendance were Senators Andy Uba and Paulinus Igwe.
Other dignitaries present include former Chief Security Officer to late Gen. Sani Abacha, Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha,  Femi Otedola and Mr. Akin Oshuntokun, a the former MD of  the News Agency of Nigeria.
Alhaji Adamu Bello, who spoke on behalf of bride’s family described the turn out for the marriage as “fantastic”’ and expressed gratitude to God.
