How Many Women Actually Groom Down There? Survey Finds 51 Percent Don't Groom That Hair At All

 Bikini

If you dread your regular visit to the waxer, you might find some solace in knowing you're not alone: A new study has found that many women are choosing to go au naturel these days.
Commissioned by British pharmacy site UKMedix.com, the survey polled 1,870 women across the UK ages 18-30, asking them, "Do you style or groom the hair in your bikini region?" The answer: 49 percent said yes, while 51 percent said no.
Of those women who have decided to forego grooming, 45 percent said they "used to, but don't any longer," while 14 percent said they couldn't afford all of those pricey waxes. That's a pretty high attrition rate, if you ask us.
Perhaps these ladies got wind of the fact that men are also shifting their preferences toward a more natural down-there aesthetic. However, pleasing men wasn't the women's chief concern -- the survey also found that 30 percent of young women simply preferred the "natural look." (Plus, 62 percent of respondents reported that their partners had the same preference!)
This should come as good news to all of the women anxiously popping aspirins and sipping glasses of wine before their monthly appointments (i.e. us). Also, when you skip waxing, you can finally put all of those awkward bikini line questions to rest (seriously, can you get a wax during your period?). But less grooming certainly does come with its own series of issues -- just ask Gwyneth Paltrow.
Moral of the story? If you're over waxing, you have options -- and you're certainly not alone.

  3. Just keep the lawn and hedges trimmed and it's all good.

On the other hand, I had an ex who insisted that I be meticulously hair-free if they were to get any attention.

  4. Males and females should both consider grooming "down there" for a variety of reasons. It's ever so much more appealing than the bush from the amazon forest.

  5. I personally think it depends on hair type. If a woman has a lot of coarse hair down there, I think trimming/shaving is necessary for me to find attractive. Light, soft hair is okay, but I still prefer some grooming. I also found that if I groom as well, my lady seems to touch me down there a little more and I don't have stinky pants after a long day of physical activities. The important thing though is to talk about it with your partner to see what he or she prefers and find some kind of common ground. If your single, grow a bush, grow a tree, put a raccoon in your pants, do what you want.

  7. Sounds like about the same number as the divorce rate, and the rate of women not having sex at all. It's hard to get turned down for sex if you're a sex-seeking woman, but I've broken up with women who didn't want to clean up down there and I would do it again. To each their own, but shave yourself, please, or be happy with those that will put up with it.
