Governor Adams Oshiomhole Gives Plantain Chips Hawker N1 Million Naira
Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo has been good to the less privileged residents of his state.
The governor recently gave a widow who was a road side hawker N2 million and awarded her son a scholarship. He also offer a government scholarship to Daniel Ihekhina, a teenager who stowed away on an Arik flight last year.
Yesterday at the New Benin by Total fuel station in Benin City,Gov Adams Oshiomhole and his entourage were passing by,he was on foot while his cars were on the move.
Some little children hawking (with their goods on their heads) saw him and began running for their lives but a little girl hawking Plantain chips stood still because she was perhaps too scared to run
Gov Oshiomole got to where this little girl was standing, looked at her and as everyone held their breath to see the turn of events,he brought out his pen and wrote her a N1million naira cheque and threw her plantain chips into the air and people began catching them to eat
I guess he has a lot more in stock for the less privileged in Edo state. Do you think he is stretching it too far?

He's doing a good job of spreading the money around.
ReplyDeleteWas it done in his name or on behalf of the government of Edo state?
DeleteI certainly hope it was in his name
DeleteOshiomhole was not sent to the government house to spread money around.
ReplyDeleteAt the rate he is going,he'll soon squander Edo state budget on charity.
ReplyDeleteBut to be frank, these hawkers and beggars do mess up the streets of our state capitals, no matter what you do to better their lives and keep them off the streets they still find their way back. Government and all these so called NGO's should do something to keep them occupied and off the street for good
