Rihanna celebrates her birthday

Aspen is known for being the winter playground to the stars.

But forget skiing or sledging - Rihanna has a different way to party.

And as she celebrated her 26th birthday in a snowy cabin on Thursday, the singer certainly enjoyed herself.

It started with cake, cookies, and champagne, before the birthday girl enjoyed what appeared to be a marihuana cigarette, donned a bikini and hit the snow.

And Rihanna finished her celebrations off with a cigar and a hot chocolate in the hot tub.

'Snow. Bunny.' she wrote, as she Instagramed herself in a white bikini.

With her hair in its new chic bob, the Barbadian beauty looked like she was ready for a fashion shoot.

A leather jacket was slung casually over her shoulders, as she posed against the snowy backdrop with a pair of goggles on her head.

'Mountainlife, cabinlife,' she wrote.

Other snaps showed her being presented with a giant cookie emblazoned with the message 'She 26 x' as she sipped champagne in front of a roaring fire.

After an inced chocolate cake, it was, of course, time for what appeared to be a spliff. Rihanna makes no secret of her life of marijuana, happily wearing the leaf symbol on her clothing and tweeting about indulging in the drug.

And Rihanna finished things off by hopping in the hot tub for a cigar.
