A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the Federal Government and the Nigerian police to pay the ex-Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, N50 million as exemplary damages for unlawfully detaining him and seizing his international passport on February 20th. The court also asked the police to immediately return his international passport and warned them against arresting or harassing him again.
