Ebonyi state House of Assembly razed by fire

Tragedy struck at Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital following a fire outbreak at the state House of Assembly in the early hours of today.

The fire started in the accounts department and spread to the media section of the Assembly complex.

The fire according to a source, destroyed some properties including sensitive documents of the House.

Policemen with armoured personnel carrier, APC were seen stationed at the gate of the state House of Assembly complex. There is restricted movement of journalists and staff of the complex.
