Say What? Air from a Kanye West show selling for $60,000

Concert tour memorabilia just got a little weirder. Numerous people on eBay are selling alleged air from Kanye West's 2013-14Yeezus tour dates, with one bid price starting at $5,000.

However, one eBay seller has taken this to the next level: a bag of air from an unspecified show from West's Yeezus tour is currently selling for $60,100 (£39,725).

The bag was listed with a starting price of $5.00 on Sunday, and, with three days to go, is in the middle of a bidding war between a handful of users.

The seller has not had to work hard to convince fans to part with their money. Instead, Pennsylvanian eBay user stangeedon1 has simply explained that this is "Kanye West Yeezus Tour Air For Sale", and was acquired after he "Held bag open and sealed air in." He has supplied no evidence to show which concert he was in attendance at.

The lucky buyer will receive a zipped bag with the words "air from Kanye show" written on it.Bidders keen to own some West tour air may be able to purchase a similar product from another eBay seller. OneTexan eBay user is selling air from the same tour for $5.00 on a Buy It Now option, another has a starting price of $0.99.

"OFFICIAL air from Kanye West's Yeezus tour!! More than 20 Ziploc bags available! Air taken from FRONT ROW SEATS; POSSIBLY CONTAINS KANYE'S BREATH!!!!," read one listing, which was going for $305 with 14 bids.

Ebay user mkiuk1 from California is running quite the business, with individual bags numbered 1 to 10 for collectors at a starting price of $0.99. An optimistic seller from New Jersey is offering a bag at a Buy It Now price of $4,000, but bidders can take a punt on a starting auction price of $14.99.

Another joker is auctioning Kanye’s 'sealed fart' at the reasonable starting price of $5.00, although – bizarrely – the item has yet to attract any bidders.

 

West has not yet commented on the stunt. But the rapper's wife, Kim Kardashian, shared her amusement on Twitter. "WOW he can sell anything!" she wrote.
