Today is children's day...treat that child right

Children's day is celebrated on different days in many places around the world, to honor children globally. In Nigeria,it is celebrated on May 27. It is a public holiday for primary and secondary school children. 
Back in the day we all looked forward to to this day with a lot of excitement and anticipation,especially the march past parades with everyone dressed in their clean school uniforms,donning with socks and white sneakers smiling from cheek to cheek,waiting expectantly for special treats from our folks.
I wonder if this is still the case now.
To all parents and guardians out there,remember that your child or ward is a special treasure that needs time and attention to be nurtured to bloom and attain his or her full potentials.
To all the children out there,may you be blessings to your families and the society at large.
