Igbos own 70% of Plateau’s new Certificates Of Occupancy – Governor Lalong


Lalong thanks Igbos for Investing in Plateau, reveals that Igbos own 70% of C of O's signed

 


Commending the Igbo community that paid him a visit at the Plateau State Government House, Governor Simon Bako Lalong, said over 70 percent of the certificates of occupancy he signed since he assumed office belong to Igbos in the State.
He went further to disclose that he had to call the Commissioner for Land to ask why it was so.

“I had to call the Commissioner for Land to ask him why it was so and to find out if the indigenous population had quit the state for the Igbo” Lalong said .
In a statement mailed to journalists by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mark Longyen, said Lalong appreciated the Igbo community for boosting and stabilizing the state’s economy and assured them of his commitment to ensure that no Igbo or any ethnic group in the state was molested or marginalized.
