Soulful singer Amber Holcomb or young Whitney Houston like Minaj calls her, was given the boot tonight, leaving Candice, Angie and Kree in the top three.
Although it's sad to see Amber go (we can only imagine how Nicki Minaj is feeling), the aspiring performer made it much further in the competition this season than she did last year, after being eliminated in the Top 40 round.
Holcomb also has another advantage that the judges—especially her biggest admirer, Minaj—continued to point out week after week, and that's her striking beauty and ability to model if she chooses to go that route.
She's got options. That's always a good thing.

I thought of the four, Amber was the least likable, which probably contributed to people not voting for her, despite her singing ability. Yes its a singing competition, but just like in the real world, you wouldn't buy an album of someone you really didn't like. When you embrace a singer's personality, you are more open to what they are singing and where its coming from, so your more apt to respond positively. I think Candice is in danger, despite her amazing vocals, because she comes across a bit "hard" - like she has a wall up. I would bet she's super nice in person, but that's not what I'm "buying". I think Kree and Angie will end up in the final two simply because they're more likable and fans are more likely to root for them by picking up the phone.I think Angie the complete package:looks,voice, personalty.she is inittowinit
ReplyDeleteAmbers attitude was appalling.Her attitude was the number one thing that I disliked about her. As well as Candice. Kree is absolutely amazing, humble and REAL. She's authentic. Candice has a great voice but she won't go anywhere. Angie will be fine win or lose, as will Kree.Your attitude speaks just as loud as your voice.

ReplyDelete#teamangie:Amber was bottom 2 last week and Kree was top obviously since they combined last weeks and this weeks votes Amber needed a miracle to stay. I thought she and Candice did better than Kree and Angie last wee but it is what it is. In the end I think Candice and Angie will slug it out and from there Angie will knock Candice's socks off with the volume and loyal voters/fans that she has. She hasn't been in the bottom not one time.
