Is this why GEJ lost? GEJ a true Statesman.

Pius Phoenix Sampson wrote: I have seen something else under the sun:The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong ,nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned, but time and chance happen to them all.-----NIV Ecclesiastes.9:11 Our brother Goodluck Jonathan surrounded himself with prodigalistic, unpatriotic, deceitful ,corrupt evil beings .Events mock at human foresight...

Who agrees with him?

GEJ came, he saw & he conquered. And he will go down in history if not for anything but for being gracious even when he lost, first time in the history of our country where an incumbent graciously concedes to his opponent. A true democrat.

And  famous writer, Chika Unigwe succinctly  puts it when she wrote:

I am neither for GEJ nor for GMB. However, I am excited that democracy has carried the day. I am happy that GEJ has done the honorable thing and called GMB to congratulate him. I am pleased that Nigerian leaders recognize now that they can be unseated by the power of the people. I am disappointed in the huge margins between the number of registered voters and the number of accredited voters. We need to educate ourselves better on our civic responsibilities.May we all do what we can to move Nigeria forward. It is our duty. God bless Nigeria.

The Peace Accord Committee has congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat and congratulating his opponent, the All Progressives Congress’s candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.

According to PremiumTimes, the chairman of the committee and former Head of State, Abdusalami Abubakar, who spoke to journalists after a closed-door meeting with the President, said the committee was spellbound when Mr. Buhari informed them that Mr. Jonathan had called to congratulate him.

“We were at the middle of a meeting with the international observers to try to see how we can still water the tension down, when gladly I called Gen. Buhari that we are going to see him,” Mr. Abubakar said. “He told me that Mr. President has called him at about 5:15 p.m. and congratulated him and conceded defeat.
“We were spellbound and the reason we have come here is to thank President Jonathan for this statesmanship. In the history of Nigeria, I think this is the first time where a
contestant has called his rival to congratulate him and through this point, President Jonathan maintained a point that the blood of Nigerians is not worth his presidency and by his action he has proved that.
He has proved that he is a man of his word‎ because during our interaction on this peace committee he has always maintained that he is going to accept the result of the elections whichever way it is done. And he has proved this.”

  1. GEJ did the honorable thing. For that I respect him. He's a good man not just a good leader.

  2. He has a good heart but like tinubu said he's not a politician. But he made history by putting his country before he's own interest.unheard of in Africa.

  3. While we rave at Jonathan's concession of defeat, the tenacity of Buhari is a bigger lesson. He has been dogged in his determination to be the President. For more than a decade, learning and remoulding himself, he is the best prepared person ever to come into the Presidency. That is history too...
